Developed around EU directive 2003/59, driver CPC training is a scheme designed to improve the knowledge and skills of LGV and PCV drivers throughout their career. 

We train delegates in the initial introductory Driver CPC training that qualifies drivers with their Certificate of Professional Competence; a legal requirement on professional drivers of any vehicle over 3.5 tonnes throughout Europe. Covering legislated essentials on driving techniques, legislation and safety we have over a decade of experience preparing drivers for working on the road.

On successful completion of the driver CPC training course, LGV and PCV qualified drivers will have all the training they require to work professionally anywhere around Europe.

Introduced in September 2009 to improve road safety, the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) EU Directive states that professional LGV drivers must complete at least 35 hours of periodic training every five years.

We are a registered provider, offering a range of courses approved by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) with hours eligible towards the five-yearly quota.

Lorry drivers are often involved in the loading and unloading of vehicles using materials handling equipment. Our courses enable delegates to use their training credits to develop these useful skills.
